Mastered Licensed Electrician

Being a Mastered Licensed Electrician allows you to perform electrical works either by maintenance or constructions on places like Office Buildings, Hospitals, Highways and etc… 

Actually, you need to obtain permits to perform such electrical work since it’s a requirement under the law’s regulation.

On this particular type of job as a mastered licensed electrician, you will be dealing with wire connections, switches, controls, plugs, traffic controls, light fixtures, breaker panels, switchboards and appliances. 

You will have to splice wires by stripping insulation from leads, clamping, twisting and soldering leads together then applying terminal caps using hand tools. 

Apart from wire connecting task, you will also be dealing with repairs where you have to make replacement of the defective electrical equipment such as outlets, plugs, motors, switches and so on…

Other task that involves about being a mastered licensed electrician are to measure, cut, assemble, bend, thread and install electrical conduit, outlet boxes, junction switch and switchboards using special equipment life mechanical drills, cutters, benders and hand tools. 

You will also have to clean equipment and keep records regarding about their status and maintenance. Installing and repairing phones, motors, controls, lights and appliances are all part of your job.

Sometimes, the easy part of the job is conducting inspections and evaluations. All you have to do is to make sure that the electrical equipment is fully operational at safety level. 

Maintaining and cleaning your tools is another important easy part of the job.

As a mastered electrician, you are entitled to have an apprentice where you can assign them to perform all related work for them to gain knowledge and experience.

The qualification to become a mastered licensed electrician is that you must have knowledge about electronics and electrical particularly about electrical codes, materials, tools and various electrical equipment. 

Safety practices are also strictly implemented to be followed and thoroughly understand the potential hazards of electrical works.

In most part of the job, you will be handling tools and this requires skills. Apart from the skill, you also need to have the ability to calculate mathematical computations. 

You should also train yourself to work from ladders, hydraulic towers, scaffolds, tunnels and crawl spaces when needed. Finally, you should keep yourself updated from the new technology.

There are two classifications of a mastered licensed electrician which are the experienced level and the advanced level. 

This two doesn’t have any difference because they can both perform similar type of work except that the advanced level simply oversees the work of the other electricians.
