The Basic Computer LAN Card

If you have a desktop computer then you can open its hardware unit and check the actual LAN Card fitted inside the motherboard.

They are commonly found at the bottom part where the ports are perfectly fitted on the body case of your hardware unit allowing you to connect external plugs.

On laptops, they have built-in LAN card and it’s quite hard to check on them because it takes time to be disabled.

Function of the LAN Card:

LAN Card is also known as Network Interface Controller, Network Interface Card, Network Adapter or simply LAN Adapter.

Its particular function is to connect two computers into a computer network allowing both users to share files.

You may have to use cable wires to link the connections but through the improvement of our technology, WLAN now allows you to connect via wireless method.
